How To Root Micromax A60

1.) First download Z4Root.apk
2.) Now place it in your SD card.
3.) Go to Settings>>Applications and check if Unknown Sources is checked or unchecked. If checked its OK and if not then you have to click on checkbox to enable it.
4.) Now Open file manager installed on your A60. That will be root explorer. Go to the SD card and the location where you placed the apk.
5.) Now install the Z4Root or UniversalAndroot on your phone and open the installed app.
6.) Just follow the Onscreen instructions to root your device.
In Z4Root there will be two options to root your phone.
1.) Permanent Root
2.) Temporary Root.
Just select Permanent Root to root your device permanently.
Rooting your phone is completely safe as  it does not change anything on the disk apart from the root binaries. If you want to un-root your phone. You can easily do that by opening Z4Root or UniversalAndroot and by clicking on un-root.

There are total three methods of installing a custom recovery to your phone. They are

But according to me the first method is the easiest one.

STEPS:

1. Download the Recover Manager package, extract it, you will get two files.
2. Copy them in SD card, now install the recovery manager.apk normally
3. Now open the recovery manager app you recently installed.
4. Click on recovery in app menu.
5. There click on install recovery
6. Then click on the recovery image name of ‘cwm6recovery.img’
7. Let the app install the recovery. after it done a message will show.
current recovery : unrecognized…. just ignore it.
That’s all now you have installed your recovery. To check click on reboot into recovery in app. And you will be in recovery after sometime.
